Sharp Gallery will feature an African inspired exhibit to benefit The Brighter Side Foundation, which inspires minds locally to make changes globally.  The benefit will feature works by Arizona ceramic artist Karen vanBarneveld-Price, a painting by San Diego Zoo Orangutan "Janey", and works by Crawford High School students inspired to care about others half way around the world.  The Brighter Side Foundation teaches philanthropy, or active global citizenship. This program also gives local students a safe and constructive way spend their time after school, and away from the negative influences of the inner city life that surrounds their neighborhoods.

Opening reception and silent auction Saturday, December 8, 2007 4-10pm.  The opening is in conjunction with San Diego's largest monthly art event, RAY AT NIGHT.
